Description

The part is the final flameproof measure of the Exhaust System before the gasses are released into the environment. It is a passive mechanical device that allows gasses to pass through without the possibility of flames doing the same. This is achieved by making use of its high heat capacity and dispelling the heat of the flame front to a point below auto-ignition.
